SLB EXT & SLB
We were recently made aware of an issue with the Altmil not tightening the nut on correctly. We have identified the issue and are working to update the scripts.
H100 VFD
Here is a link to the manual to get instructions for changing program parameters. Begin at Section 4.1.
https://images.thdstatic.com/catalog/pdfImages/b0/b008b752-3e4a-4c5c-aa62-3f425c50eff9.pdf
Out of the box the H100 will need one parameter changed.
Confirm parameter F000 is set to 0
Then set F011 to between 0-20 (1HZ = 60rpm. A setting of 20 would give a lower limit of 600rpm)
After setting the new value in F011 go back and verify that the change persisted.
Reboot the VFD.
Work Flow
The SLB Must be homed before attempting to set up the tool changer or before tool
changes.
All positional values entered into the web UI must be in Machine coordinates.
Machine coordinates are the X, Y and Z numbers in grey under the Blue work coordinates.
When setting the Z work offset the tool must have been measured either when loading the tool or using the measure tool macro.
When ever the SLB is powered up the tool in the spindle must be set in the Console MDI with the g code command "M61 Q[N]" where N is the tool number.
M61 Q2 will set the current tool as tool 2. This can be verified by running the show current tool macro with G65 P203.
The tool must also be measured using the macro G65 P231.
Tool numbers and Tool length offsets do not persist after homing and or a soft reset.
SD Card Support
The Tool changes use macro files which reside in the root directory of the SD card.
The individual .macro files can be run from the MDI by typing "G65 P2[NN]"
The TC.macro can not run from the MDI it is called with M6 T[N].
SLB boards require the updated Firmware to add the SD card support. Download the SLB_5.0.5b_NGC.hex file from the dashboard firmware section.
SLB EXT boards for the AltMill have this functionality out of the box and do NOT need the updated Firmware.
GSender Setup
This document references GSender v1.4.12. For support this is the current GSender that we feel comfortable with as we work out docs for the New 1.5.x
In the Setting Menu under Tool Change. turn on "Passthrough" and "Ignore"
Firmware Settings
Report in inches
If you are using imperial units "Report in inches" must be disabled in the firmware section.
SienciHAL has a conversion bug when probing while the firmware is reporting in inches.
Choose Inches in the Gsender General Settings screen ONLY.
The Tool Setter, IR sensors and most touch plates are Active Low so the probe pin needs to be inverted.
The Dust Cover is connected to the Flood pin and is Active Low so this pin needs to be inverted.
Turn on debug messages.
